About CBA - Bengali Association

CBA – Bengali Association was founded to bridge this gap and bring the spirit, culture, and traditions of Bengal closer to the community in and around Miyapur and Cyberabad.

Our Journey

The CBA – Bengali Association was established in 2008 with the motto “Bringing Bengal Closer to Hyderabad”. At that time, residents of the rapidly growing Cyberabad area, home to many IT and public sector professionals, had to travel long distances to participate in Durga Puja celebrations. CBA – Bengali Association was founded to bridge this gap and bring the spirit, culture, and traditions of Bengal closer to the community in and around Miyapur and Cyberabad.
From modest beginnings, with limited facilities and a handful of volunteers, CBA – Bengali Association has now evolved into one of the most celebrated socio-cultural organizations in Hyderabad, welcoming thousands of people across communities, professions, and regions.

Innovation & Digital Firsts

CBA – Bengali Association has always been ahead in using technology to connect the community. What began with Facebook has grown into a vibrant digital adda of over 10,000 followers — a space to relive memories, stay updated, and celebrate together.

Recognizing the evolving digital world, we expanded into Instagram, where reels, pictures, and highlights bring festive energy to a younger, dynamic audience.

Today, CBA – Bengali Association’s digital family thrives across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube — making our celebrations more inclusive, interactive, and accessible than ever before. And this is just the beginning.

Respect for Tradition & Care for Elders

At the heart of CBA – Bengali Association’s success lies its deep respect for tradition and people. Right from its early days, when resources and infrastructure were limited, CBA – Bengali Association has made special arrangements for senior citizens—ensuring they have comfortable seating and can relish Bhog Prasadam with dignity on all five Puja days. Their blessings, along with Maa Durga’s grace, have been instrumental in CBA – Bengali Association’s growth into what it is today.

Our Vision

With the blessings of Maa Durga and the continued support of our community, CBA – Bengali Association aspires to keep growing as a symbol of cultural pride, inclusivity, and community service in Hyderabad. Through innovation, respect for tradition, and year-round engagement, we aim to keep Bringing Bengal Closer to Hyderabad while creating a welcoming platform for people of all backgrounds to celebrate together.
